HYDE 900 SOLDIERS OF WW1 – 1916
The soldiers from Hyde who fell in 1916 in WW1 will be commemorated and remembered. The choir will be singing – there will be poetry and General Sir Anthony Walker narrating the story of 1916 – not to be missed. Cheese, wine and nibbles served after the event. All welcome. Doors open 6.15pm.

Doors open and drinks served from 6.15pm
An event to commemorate all those who left homes in Hyde to serve in the Great War, and the family and neighbours they left behind. Following a programme of music and poetry commemorating the era, the event will conclude with a reading of the roll-call of the 1916 casualties.
The modern day occupiers of their former homes are then invited to add their flags to the Hyde Soldiers commemorative map.
Light refreshments will be served at the end of the event.
